Roger Klemensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Klemensson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 25th playminute. After having played for 29 minutes, Pelle Sigfridsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunnemo FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pelle Sigfridsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Roger Klemensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Klemensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sunnemo FF booed when Gårdsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Andreasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pelle Sigfridsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Wassenius having to interfere. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sunnemo FF's goalkeeper Patrik Billock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Pelle Sigfridsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bengt-Åke Wållander kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Fredrik Albäck fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gårdsjö's protests and gave Fredrik Albäck a yellow card for diving instead.
