Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Per Runberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Torgny Brodin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Per Runberg having to make a save. Holm BF's Per Runberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torgny Brodin in the 14th minute of play. When Kim Sjöberg fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simrishamn IFK's protests and gave Kim Sjöberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Kim Sjöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristoffer Wennerquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peder Ekerot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Olof Strömberg suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Simrishamn IFK! The referee gave Holm BF a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vilhelm Asklund, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Simrishamn IFK's Peder Ekerot. 1-1. Holm BF's Per Runberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torgny Brodin in the 39th minute of play. In the last second Per Runberg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Torgny Brodin in the 41stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 41 played minutes Holm BF got a freekick which was hit by Uno Lundhberg. Kristoffer Wennerquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Peder Ekerot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristoffer Wennerquist was the one to do the kick off. If Ian Kämpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Holm BF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Kristoffer Wennerquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Simrishamn IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Uno Lundhberg came free, but Peder Ekerot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristoffer Wennerquist might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peder Ekerot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristoffer Wennerquist ran back to his position shaking his head. Peder Ekerot made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Kristoffer Wennerquist sent off a good shot on target. Per Runberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Brodin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Simrishamn IFK's Peder Ekerot got control of the ball when Kristoffer Wennerquist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ian Kämpe struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Per Runberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simrishamn IFK. Ian Kämpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Runberg having to interfere. Holm BF's Per Runberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torgny Brodin in the 93rd minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
