Venjan BK were furious when Douglas Vallgren was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 8 minutes into the game, one of Venjan BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Christian Enström shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Venjan BK's Frans Trulsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Albäck in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Stenman got free with Frans Trulsson in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Landin in the 20th minute of play forced Timrå FF's goalkeeper Magne Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Kåre Bäcklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Trulsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Mats Albäck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Frans Trulsson, 2-0. After some careless play in the Timrå FF defense, Joakim Landin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magne Axelsson. The Timrå FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magne Axelsson should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Venjan BK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bengt Walroth hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Joakim Landin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Magne Axelsson. Timrå FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joakim Landin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Frans Trulsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johannes Stenman in the 39th minute. Magne Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 41 minutes of play, Venjan BK's Joakim Landin made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Magne Axelsson was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The wind increased when Joakim Landin made the kick off in the second half. Joakim Landin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Magne Axelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Arne Martinsson charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven-Arne Martinsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Timrå FF getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sven-Arne Martinsson hit a great ball. Venjan BK's Frans Trulsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Albäck in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Sven-Arne Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Trulsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Sven-Arne Martinsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frans Trulsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. 73 minutes into the match, Timrå FF's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Landin came free, but Magne Axelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Venjan BK booed when Timrå FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Albäck didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Venjan BK's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Albäck came free, but Frans Trulsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mathias Salqvist fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timrå FF's protests and gave Mathias Salqvist a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Timrå FF getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mathias Salqvist hit a great ball. 82 minutes in the game Anton Vallin got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Timrå FF's zone, Douglas Hellkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magne Axelsson came out of the goal and Douglas Hellkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magne Axelsson was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Joakim Landin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joakim Landin really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. 96 minutes into the game, Joakim Landin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Magne Axelsson. Joakim Landin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-5.
