After 3 minutes of play, Timrå FF's Johannes Stenman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stig-Ove Ekblom was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Järpen's goalkeeper Stig-Ove Ekblom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Kåre Bäcklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Johannes Stenman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timrå FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Johannes Stenman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig-Ove Ekblom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig-Ove Ekblom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Bäcklin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Järpen's George Löfdahl got a free kick in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Järpen's goal looked a bit too open when Kåre Bäcklin came free, but Stig-Ove Ekblom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Rickard Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timrå FF's Johannes Stenman got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Magne Axelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Norberg in the 28th minute of the match. A hard shot 32 in the game by Göran Bergfeldt from a close distance when the talented Magne Axelsson managed to make a qualified save. Timrå FF's players were relieved. If Per Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timrå FF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Per Norberg 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Stig-Ove Ekblom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Stenman in the 40th minute of the match. Johannes Stenman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stig-Ove Ekblom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Stig-Ove Ekblom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Bäcklin in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

George Löfdahl kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 54 minutes, Per Norberg made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Timrå FF's Magne Axelsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Magne Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Norberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Per Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Axelsson having to interfere. Järpen's Göran Bergfeldt got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Mats Albäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magne Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Norberg in the 70th minute of play. If Johannes Stenman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kåre Bäcklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timrå FF's Johannes Stenman got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Järpen's goalkeeper Stig-Ove Ekblom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Stenman. Vidar Hedberg's late challenge caught a Järpen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vidar Hedberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Timrå FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidar Hedberg to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, George Löfdahl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Järpen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timrå FF the free kick. In the 91st minute, George Löfdahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Timrå FF booed when Järpen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Löfdahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Enström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stig-Ove Ekblom. Järpen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Järpen were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Timrå FF for a fine match.
