Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Askersund's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Tunander came free, but Jon Lindsten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Karl-Magnus Kilman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christer Bokelund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Lindsten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Stig Tunander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Överlida's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Tunander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon Lindsten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Magnus Kilman in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jon Lindsten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karl-Magnus Kilman took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jon Lindsten. Jon Lindsten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gösta Granberg during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Överlida booed when Askersund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Granberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jon Lindsten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Bokelund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jon Lindsten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Tunander in the 29th minute of play. Jon Lindsten came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Överlida's Christer Bokelund. But to his dismay, Christer Bokelund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 46 minutes into the match, Överlida's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Granberg came free, but Lucas Målare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stig Tunander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christer Bokelund took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jon Lindsten. Jon Lindsten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Lucas Målare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Granberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christer Bokelund got free with Jon Lindsten in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Askersund's Jon Lindsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Tunander in the 91st minute of play. Lucas Målare came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Askersund's Gösta Granberg. But to his dismay, Gösta Granberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3.
