Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Lövgren started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Nils Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vargön IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Magnusson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils Magnusson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Sven-Arne Öberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vargön IFK. Jesper Larsfelt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Lövgren in the 15th minute of the match. After 18 minutes, Ingvar Gustafsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anderstorp BF and the Vargön IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Anderstorp BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Gustafsson to maneuver through the defense. If Alex Söderkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Anderstorp BF's goalkeeper Sven-Arne Öberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evert Sandberg. After 28 played minutes Anderstorp BF got a freekick which was hit by Anthon Vallin. Jarl Willig struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Sven-Arne Öberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vargön IFK. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Söderkvist in the 32nd minute of play forced Anderstorp BF's goalkeeper Sven-Arne Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Arne Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Magnusson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Anderstorp BF's Sven-Arne Öberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Anderstorp BF from getting a goal against them. Jesper Larsfelt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Lövgren's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Nils Magnusson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vargön IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Nils Magnusson made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Anderstorp BF got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Gustafsson. Sven-Arne Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Magnusson in the 62nd minute of play. Alex Söderkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven-Arne Öberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Söderkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. If Åke Forsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Åke Forsman in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Arne Öberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jesper Larsfelt made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Hans Håkansson sent off a good shot on target. Jarl Willig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agne Ahlfors hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Alex Söderkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Arne Öberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils Magnusson's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Gunnar Ahlfors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Evert Sandberg put in a rough tackle. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Henry Svanberg put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jesper Larsfelt. After a rather tough play, Anderstorp BF's Ingvar Gustafsson got a free kick in the 96th minute. Vargön IFK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
