Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eric Hjeltman in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Svante Hermansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Svante Hermansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Lindqvist in the 8th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Lakene IFK's Eric Hjeltman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Svante Hermansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Glommen's Frans Valrot got a free kick in the 17th minute. Svante Hermansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Lindqvist in the 18th minute of the match. Bo Rönn's late challenge caught a Lakene IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo Rönn helped the player get up and apologised. Lakene IFK made a substitution. Håkan Utfal replaced Sten Ambjörnsson. After 19 played minutes Glommen got a freekick which was hit by Bo Rönn. When Inge Sellberg came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Glommen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inge Sellberg couldn't finish the play. Svante Hermansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Glommen's goalkeeper Svante Hermansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Hjeltman. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inge Sellberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Morat charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Morat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Eric Hjeltman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Svante Hermansson was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The tension between the Glommen and the Lakene IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Glommen got a freekick which was hit by Thor Lundgren. Svante Hermansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Lindqvist in the 89th minute of the match. Hjalmar Lindqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Hermansson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eric Hjeltman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lakene IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Hjeltman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Svante Hermansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lakene IFK fully deserved thier win.
