Habo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torpsbruk BF the free kick. Herbert Olofsson charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herbert Olofsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes Torpsbruk BF got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Olofsson. If Jarl Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarl Hellström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils-Åke Rudberg to make the kick off. Torpsbruk BF were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Habo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pär Kjellberg took the corner. Torpsbruk BF's Pär Kjellberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kennet Säv in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kennet Säv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Asklöv, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Andy Asklöv sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarl Hellström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kennet Säv having to make a save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
