With an all-out effort, fakatax's Fredric Smitt threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rune Öfverman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Edgar Lindman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Edgar Lindman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Överhörnäs booed when fakatax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rune Öfverman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fredric Smitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredric Smitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Esbjörn Johnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Lindman, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute.
