Håkan Wallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jonatan Vennerlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rune Öfverman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Vennerlund having to interfere. Wiktor Rosendal might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esbjörn Johnsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wiktor Rosendal ran back to his position shaking his head. After 17 played minutes Övre Soppero FF got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Källberg. Bernt Bergström hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Esbjörn Johnsson came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Övre Soppero FF's Karl-Magnus Bock. But to his dismay, Karl-Magnus Bock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Övre Soppero FF's zone, Rune Öfverman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Vennerlund came out of the goal and Rune Öfverman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute Karl-Magnus Bock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Johnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Övre Soppero FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arman Lindgren to maneuver through the defense. If Håkan Wallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Henry Lidberg came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the fakatax fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry Lidberg couldn't finish the play. Rune Öfverman struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jonatan Vennerlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fakatax. In the 42nd minute, Håkan Wallin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonatan Vennerlund, passed just outside the right post. When Göran Ljungberg fell near the penalty area in the 49th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Övre Soppero FF's protests and gave Göran Ljungberg a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half Övre Soppero FF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Karl-Magnus Bock made the kick off in the second half. Rune Öfverman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johnny Blomqvist hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, fakatax's goalkeeper Esbjörn Johnsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wiktor Rosendal. A collision led to Övre Soppero FF getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Bock hit a great ball. Håkan Wallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Vennerlund having to interfere. With a little luck, fakatax's Esbjörn Johnsson got control of the ball when Wiktor Rosendal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th match minute, fakatax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Blomqvist to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes fakatax got a freekick which was hit by Henry Lidberg. Esbjörn Johnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Bock, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. fakatax's Esbjörn Johnsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save fakatax from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Håkan Wallin made a precise shot to the right of Jonatan Vennerlund. Övre Soppero FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 95th minute, Håkan Wallin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rune Öfverman might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Vennerlund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Öfverman ran back to his position shaking his head. Övre Soppero FF were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over fakatax's much stronger midfield.
