Näsviken's Bo Beckström got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bo Beckström sped through Södra Sandby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of David Dalberg. Reine Elg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolf Holm in the 30th minute. Albert Uggstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. David Dalberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Södra Sandby's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Uggstedt came free, but David Dalberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Näsviken getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tor Gregersson hit a great ball. When Rolf Holm came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Södra Sandby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolf Holm couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edvard Ahlquist to make the kick off. Edvard Ahlquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Reine Elg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Albert Uggstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Södra Sandby got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Lindqvist. Edvard Ahlquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Näsviken's Bo Västerstrand got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Edvard Ahlquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Sven-Ove Nordström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Ove Lundhberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 minutes, Roy Kvarnström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Södra Sandby and the Näsviken players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roy Kvarnström hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Reine Elg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Albert Uggstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Dalberg was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Reine Elg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvard Ahlquist in the 87th minute of play. If Edvard Ahlquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rolf Holm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvard Ahlquist struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Reine Elg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Södra Sandby. David Dalberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Uggstedt in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Näsviken eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
