Bernt Lundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvard Ahlquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Storlien's goalkeeper Bernt Lundberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolf Holm. The supporters of Södra Sandby booed when Storlien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Kullgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolf Holm's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernt Lundberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rolf Holm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Storlien's goal looked a bit too open when Edvard Ahlquist came free, but Bernt Lundberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edvard Ahlquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Södra Sandby got a freekick which was hit by Michel Broman. David Dalberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sven Busk. Jerry Stenström might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Dalberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerry Stenström ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute, Edvard Ahlquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernt Lundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Holm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 played minutes Storlien got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Kullgren. In the 71stth minute of the game Jerry Stenström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Södra Sandby's David Dalberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roy Kvarnström kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to Södra Sandby getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alvin Mattsson hit a great ball. Bernt Lundberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Holm, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kennet Magnusson got free with David Dalberg in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
