The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Birger Östlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellerud's supporters rose to their feet, but Birger Östlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Åström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the game, Mellerud's Arvin Almstedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabian Åström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 73rd minute, Magnus Hjälm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Långaryd getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Joakim Malmgren hit a great ball. When Alfons Bruse fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Långaryd's protests and gave Alfons Bruse a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Mellerud's Hugo Holmgren tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Mellerud's Birger Östlund in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Långaryd's goalie prevented a goal.
