Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arvin Almstedt started the match with the kick off. When Arvin Almstedt fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellerud's protests and gave Arvin Almstedt a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Mellerud's Arvin Almstedt got a free kick in the 2nd minute. A hard shot 7 in the game by Birger Östlund from a close distance when the talented Reine Qvarnström managed to make a qualified save. Grödinge's players were relieved. The supporters of Grödinge booed when Mellerud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Bo Rudqvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Stenman skillfully saved the ball. Peder Wik kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Birger Östlund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reine Qvarnström having to make a save. If Birger Östlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Reine Qvarnström managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Mellerud's Arvin Almstedt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute of the match Leonard Hellström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Stenman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Mellerud's Arvin Almstedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reine Qvarnström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Arvin Almstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvin Almstedt in the 47th minute of play forced Grödinge's goalkeeper Reine Qvarnström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Konrad Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Stenman having to interfere. Konrad Bergqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Erik Stenman made a huge save. A collision led to Mellerud getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Billy Söderkvist hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Birger Östlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konrad Bergqvist got free with Erik Stenman in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Mellerud's Billy Söderkvist got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellerud's goalkeeper Erik Stenman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute Arvin Almstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reine Qvarnström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Mellerud's goalkeeper Erik Stenman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Konrad Bergqvist. Konrad Bergqvist in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erik Stenman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Peder Wik charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peder Wik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes Grödinge got a freekick which was hit by Peder Wik. If Konrad Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Stenman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esbjörn Olsmann's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Esbjörn Olsmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grödinge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esbjörn Olsmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Grödinge players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mellerud from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
