In the 15th minute, one of Vinberg FF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vinberg FF. In the 17th minute, Michael Siöberg made a precise shot to the right of Kristian Berglund. Vinberg FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 20 played minutes Sparsör got a freekick which was hit by Stig Sandström. 23 minutes into the match, Sparsör's goalkeeper Bertil Ahlerot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils-Erik Axelsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Oscar Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vinberg FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Eriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Eriksson's late challenge caught a Sparsör's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 33rd minute of the game, Jens-Ola Samuelsson landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 33 minutes, Björn Fagrell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sparsör and the Vinberg FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sparsör's Björn Fagrell got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 42nd minute, Egil Waller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vinberg FF's Kristian Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Waller in the 49th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zebastian Göransson made a kick off.
