A collision led to Lycksele getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Roger Hermansson hit a great ball. August Sundén charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed August Sundén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Fagervik IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by August Sundén to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Fagervik IK's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Näfver came free, but Kevin Wennerquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Fanström during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sten Fanström kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 38 minutes in the game August Sundén after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Rune Forss. A very good opportunity. Fagervik IK's Victor Ekialde got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Jonas Venceslas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Venceslas to make the kick off. Jonas Venceslas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Forss having to interfere. Elof Aleberg made a great header on Fagervik IK's corner, it was just that Lycksele's Rune Forss managed to reach the ball for a save. The goalkeeper, Kevin Wennerquist, was totally fooled by Lycksele's Ingmar Ekgren, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jim Näfver might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kevin Wennerquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jim Näfver ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Jonas Venceslas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lycksele's zone, Sten Fanström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Forss came out of the goal and Sten Fanström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin Wennerquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo-Erik Påk in the 80th minute of play. Sten Fanström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Jonas Venceslas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lycksele's Rune Forss. Rune Forss was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 98 minutes into the match, Jonas Venceslas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rune Forss. Lycksele's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Venceslas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. There was no doubt that Fagervik IK were the better team. Fagervik IK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
