When Walter Liljeström fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Staffanstorp BK's protests and gave Walter Liljeström a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Staffanstorp BK got a freekick which was hit by Walter Liljeström. Arman Bohlin kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Staffanstorp BK getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Stellan Wallgren hit a great ball. If Verner Trulsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edwin Svensson succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. 32 minutes into the match, Staffanstorp BK's goalkeeper Ingmar Säf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Åke Nyqvist. Verner Trulsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Fernström having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Tommy Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Fortuna XIII's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Andreasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingmar Säf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingmar Säf was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Edwin Svensson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edwin Svensson really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0.

The wind increased when Verner Trulsson made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Torsten Stenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staffanstorp BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Torsten Stenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Fernström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute, Lucas Larsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Verner Trulsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Larsson's late challenge caught a Staffanstorp BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Larsson helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Olle Grönlund in the 61st minute really tested Tobias Fernström's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 63 minutes into the match, Verner Trulsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tobias Fernström, 4-1. Stellan Wallgren kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Sten Kråk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edwin Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Andreasson in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ingmar Säf saved Staffanstorp BK from getting behind. Tommy Andreasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arne Billock scored 4-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Fernström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, FC Fortuna XIII's Tobias Fernström got control of the ball when Torsten Stenberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Edwin Svensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fortuna XIII's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Svensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Staffanstorp BK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Fortuna XIII.
