With a left leg Valdemar Thidén saved Kärna IF from getting behind. A collision led to Kärna IF getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Krister Zachrisson hit a great ball. Jan Engström did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Valdemar Thidén 7 minutes into the match. When Jan Engström came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Vrigstad BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Engström couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Berg during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kärna IF's Tomas Berg got a free kick in the 14th minute. Kurt Häger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Thidén having to interfere. Valdemar Thidén came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Vrigstad BF's Jan Engström. But to his dismay, Jan Engström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Arne Molin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Andberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Vrigstad BF booed when Kärna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krister Zachrisson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdemar Thidén was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Charlie Nyström. Jan Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christer Granström kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Vrigstad BF's Charlie Nyström shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 41st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valdemar Thidén but with some difficulty. The wind increased when Johan Andberg made the kick off in the second half. Kurt Häger might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdemar Thidén. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Häger ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57thth minute of the game Jan Engström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kärna IF's Valdemar Thidén was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kärna IF's Birger Helander got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kärna IF getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Sebastian Berggren hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kärna IF's zone, Niklas Lövgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdemar Thidén came out of the goal and Niklas Lövgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Jan Engström put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Valdemar Thidén. Alex Hagström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar Thidén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. A hard shot by Sebastian Berggren from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Arne Molin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 80thth minute of the game Jan Engström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kärna IF's Valdemar Thidén was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 82 minutes, Christer Granström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vrigstad BF and the Kärna IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kärna IF booed when Vrigstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Granström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Kärna IF's Krister Zachrisson got a free kick in the 86th minute. Kärna IF's Valdemar Thidén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Rang in the 88th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Arne Molin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kurt Häger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Vrigstad BF were the better team. Vrigstad BF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
