A collision led to Vårby getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Åke Siggesson hit a great ball. Kalle Hansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kalle Hansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Runberg in the 8th minute of play. Jan-Erik Kihlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Kalle Hansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kalle Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Runberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Erik Kihlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kalle Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Runberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Kalle Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Runberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Lukas Lundhberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Enskededalen FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukas Lundhberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lars Rydberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Bäckström having to interfere. Enskededalen FK's Lukas Lundhberg got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Lars Rydberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Enskededalen FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vårby were winning 0-1.

Vårby's Håkan Runberg got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Håkan Runberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Vårby's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Enskededalen FK booed when Vårby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Gustavsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esbjörn Ivarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85thth minute of the game Lukas Lundhberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vårby's Bo Bäckström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Roland Gustavsson fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vårby's protests and gave Roland Gustavsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th match minute, Vårby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Gustavsson to maneuver through the defense. Vårby's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
