Hammenhög's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Johnny Lawrence scored to the left of an out of position André Bergvall, making the score, 1-0. If Johnny Lawrence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristoffer Holmberg scored 2-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Bergvall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Opilano Corujo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Bergvall having to interfere. Opilano Corujo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Édouard Mendy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Hök's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hammenhög's zone, Johnny Lawrence stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Bergvall came out of the goal and Johnny Lawrence tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Lawrence in the 36th minute of play forced Hammenhög's goalkeeper André Bergvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Johnny Lawrence had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Kristoffer Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristoffer Holmberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, AIK's Johnny Lawrence sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Bergvall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristoffer Holmberg in the 43rd minute of play forced Hammenhög's goalkeeper André Bergvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Hök kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Staffan Hedbom sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Bergvall skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kjell Hjortsberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. André Bergvall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Opilano Corujo in the 57th minute of play. After some careless play in the Hammenhög defense, Johnny Lawrence kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Bergvall. The Hammenhög fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Bergvall should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute Johnny Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Bergvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Bergvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Opilano Corujo made a precise shot to the right of André Bergvall. Hammenhög's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Hjortsberg in the 71st minute of the match. André Bergvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Opilano Corujo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 74 minutes Hammenhög's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jens Lindström who took care of the corner kick. The corner led AIK's Jens Lindström to fire away a dangerous shot which André Bergvall despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. André Bergvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Johnny Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Bergvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Opilano Corujo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. When AIK's Johnny Lawrence in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hammenhög's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th minute, AIK's Jens Lindström seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jens Lindström the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AIK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jens Lindström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Édouard Mendy had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Filip Berggren's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Filip Berggren notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of AIK's Édouard Mendy. Édouard Mendy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Daniel Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, AIK's Opilano Corujo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Bergvall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AIK fully deserved thier win.
