Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leif Mager started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sandhem's zone, Nils Jonsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harald Holmberg came out of the goal and Nils Jonsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Mager in the 12th minute of play. Alf Larsfält struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Thomas Berg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandhem. Harald Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Jonsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Nils Jonsson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sandhem's Harald Holmberg. Harald Holmberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karl-Michael Forsbergs short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Thomas Berg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thomas Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Mager in the 34th minute of the match. Ludvika IF's Thomas Berg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ludvika IF from getting a goal against them. Thomas Berg didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Ludvika IF's Thomas Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Mager in the 44th minute of play. If Alf Larsfält had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Mager in the 47th minute of play forced Ludvika IF's goalkeeper Thomas Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils Jonsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frans Hökkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Jonsson couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Ludvika IF's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Michael Forsberg came free, but Thomas Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Leif Mager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Michael Forsberg in the 90th minute of play forced Ludvika IF's goalkeeper Thomas Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Bengt Björk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ludvika IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sandhem the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, Ludvika IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Björk to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 94 minutes, Leif Mager managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandhem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leif Mager was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandhem walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
