Joar Trulsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johan Friberger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With an all-out effort, Blomstermåla IF's Johan Friberger threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michael Söderström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jan Alberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Good Luck Have Fun's Johan Friberger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Good Luck Have Fun from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Söderström got free with Johan Friberger in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the game, Bertil Bergman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Johan Friberger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Johan Friberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ola Sandström in the 55th minute of the match. Bernt Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute.
