Sigvard Kilström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alf Hård went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Norrlandsfotboll FC's Sven Västberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Wik in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Hammar Häsgroppers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reine Vinström to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Norrlandsfotboll FC's Benjamin Fristedt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Norrlandsfotboll FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pål Wik came free, but Sven Västberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Norrlandsfotboll FC's Sven Västberg got control of the ball when Walter Åkesson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pål Wik came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Hammar Häsgroppers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pål Wik couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Hammar Häsgroppers booed when Norrlandsfotboll FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Carlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hammar Häsgroppers's Nils-Erik Haglund shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 48th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sven Västberg but with some difficulty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pål Wik to make the kick off. Norrlandsfotboll FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Hård was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute Arne Ödman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Kilström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigvard Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Ödman in the 76th minute of the match. When Sonny Carlsson came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Norrlandsfotboll FC fans jumped to their feet.
