But to his dismay, Viktor Granberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tord Samuelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Öberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Snake City FC got a freekick which was hit by Kent Öberg. Snake City FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Per-Olof Lind scored to the left of an out of position Gottfrid Nyqvist, making the score, 1-1. Anthony Avila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottfrid Nyqvist having to interfere. Tord Samuelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Granberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Wållander in the 17th minute of play forced The Rats's goalkeeper Tord Samuelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Snake City FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Viktor Granberg in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that José Carlos White's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gottfrid Nyqvist was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Kent Öberg struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Tord Samuelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Snake City FC. After 39 played minutes Snake City FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Ekeroth. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pär Lindegaard during the 40th minute. Gottfrid Nyqvist was a little too slow when Anthony Avila got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Carlos White to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of The Rats booed when Snake City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Oskar Pihlblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Snake City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Avila came free, but Gottfrid Nyqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
