Fletcher Alfaro started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Nyberg got free with Bo-Erik Lindgren in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Paul Nyberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bo-Erik Lindgren to make any attempt to save it. Harry Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Södra Mellby IF getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gustaf Skräddare hit a great ball. In the 21st minute Eric Holmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute Fletcher Alfaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo-Erik Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Paul Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bo-Erik Lindgren made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Paul Nyberg sent off a good shot on target. Harry Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tomas Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eric Holmberg in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Mårtensson saved Moa Coa from getting behind. Eric Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Holmberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Eric Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Bengt-Åke Täman made a precise shot to the right of Bo-Erik Lindgren. Södra Mellby IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Moa Coa's Paul Nyberg got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 61 minutes of play, Moa Coa's Fletcher Alfaro made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bo-Erik Lindgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fletcher Alfaro succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Eric Holmberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomas Mårtensson. That made the score 4-2 in the 78 minute of play. Alfred Lönn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Mårtensson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Harry Gunnarsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Tomas Mårtensson made a huge save. Bo-Erik Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Nyberg in the 88th minute of the match. If Eric Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Södra Mellby IF's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Moa Coa had won, even though Södra Mellby IF had held more of the ball.
