After a defensive mix-up in BoysDontCry's zone, William Fernström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Strand came out of the goal and William Fernström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. William Fernström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Megers Lärjungar's Martin Gustavsson got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Georg Strand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Gustavsson in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the BoysDontCry defense, Martin Gustavsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Strand. The BoysDontCry fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Strand should have stopped the shot. Knut Hammarbäck kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Georg Strand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Fernström's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Martin Gustavsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of BoysDontCry's Georg Strand. Georg Strand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. William Fernström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Gustavsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Strand having to make a save. Georg Strand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Fristedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Gustavsson in the 47th minute of play forced BoysDontCry's goalkeeper Georg Strand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torsten Hedling was the one to do the kick off. Knut Hammarbäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Strand having to interfere. Daniel Kjellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, BoysDontCry's Georg Strand got control of the ball when Joachim Bern tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, BoysDontCry's Joel Forsberg got a free kick in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that William Fernström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georg Strand was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, BoysDontCry's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Gustavsson came free, but Georg Strand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Megers Lärjungar's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
