The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Henrik Ruul kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Alsterbro's Henrik Österberg got a free kick in the 7th minute. Fritz Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Västberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Lindesborg Bk's goal looked a bit too open when Clive Fordham came free, but Ulf Bratt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Lindesborg Bk's Johan Västberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fritz Åström. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. 17 minutes into the match, Alsterbro's goal looked a bit too open when Alwin Spaan came free, but Fritz Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Maximilian Adelsköld cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilgot Örtendal in the 38th minute of play forced Alsterbro's goalkeeper Fritz Åström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Bengtsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fritz Åström came out and tried to block the shot, but Rolf Bengtsson slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 40th minute. In the 47th minute, Lindesborg Bk's Vilgot Örtendal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fritz Åström. Fritz Åström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximilian Adelsköld to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Alsterbro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Wiklund to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute Johan Västberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fritz Åström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vilgot Örtendal fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lindesborg Bk's protests and gave Vilgot Örtendal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Vilgot Örtendal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Johan Västberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fritz Åström. Alsterbro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vilgot Örtendal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. Fritz Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Örtendal, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Fritz Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Västberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alsterbro's Fritz Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alwin Spaan in the 89th minute of play.
