Stefan Giertych charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Al-Norr's Mårten Ekström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlmi Akıncıbey in the 10th minute of play. Dimitris Kolleris might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Västberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dimitris Kolleris ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arktis BoIS's goalkeeper Oscar Västberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oscar Västberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Kolleris, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Many of Arktis BoIS's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Arktis BoIS may have spent more time on the ball, but Al-Norr were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
