Gaspar Erasto kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Christian Kilström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Zé Paulo Messias skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Henry Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Berg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredrik Käcker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Mattsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Hille IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tommy Lindberg in the 17th minute. Hille IF's Adilson Tinoco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Henry Mattsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Ekhagens IF's Numan Tayguner slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Paulo Messias. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. After 23 played minutes Hille IF got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Berg. In the 25th minute Numan Tayguner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hille IF's Zé Paulo Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Numan Tayguner in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christer Salqvist got free with Zé Paulo Messias in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Christian Kilström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Paulo Messias was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Henry Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Käcker in the 42nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christer Ahlroht during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hille IF getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Christer Ahlroht hit a great ball. Hille IF's Zé Paulo Messias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Hille IF from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fredrik Käcker to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Fredrik Käcker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henry Mattsson. The goal made the score 1-1. A collision led to Hille IF getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Christer Ahlroht hit a great ball. Henry Mattsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Berg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Paulo Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Kilström in the 63rd minute of play. Ekhagens IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oskar Uggla in the 65th minute. After taking down the ball on Ekhagens IF's corner Oskar Uggla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zé Paulo Messias quite easily take care of the ball. In the 79th match minute, Hille IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Lindberg to maneuver through the defense. Ekhagens IF's Håkan Molander was substituted for Oskar Uggla. Ekhagens IF's Johan Pålsson was substituted for Edwin Kellbom. A collision led to Hille IF getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Tommy Lindberg hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes Hille IF got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Käcker. When Fredrik Käcker came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Hille IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Käcker couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ekhagens IF's Christer Salqvist got a free kick in the 89th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
