Patrik Lingren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Stewart Tongs made a huge save. After 15 played minutes Patrik Lingren rounded Vänersborg SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Vänersborg SC's Stewart Tongs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Vänersborg SC from getting a goal against them. If Sotiris Koupepes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Granäng kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Patrik Lingren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stewart Tongs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotiris Koupepes in the 36th minute of the match. Tord Alberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Folke Björkdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Canor Sans, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 45 minutes of play, Wolverhampton's Patrik Lingren made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stewart Tongs was left in no man's land by his defense there! Canor Sans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sotiris Koupepes made the kick off in the second half. Bengt Hedlund charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bengt Hedlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Bengt Hedlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acácio Cunha made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Librado Pamperin immediately put the ball in play. Canor Sans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Folke Björkdal made a huge save. Vänersborg SC's Stewart Tongs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotiris Koupepes in the 82nd minute of play. Kenny Wiberg made in the 88th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tord Alberg. 95 minutes into the game, Librado Pamperin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wolverhampton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vänersborg SC the free kick. Librado Pamperin kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Wolverhampton could leave the field as winners, despite Vänersborg SC having more of the ball for most of the match.
