But to his dismay, Cezary Murdza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 13th minute, Aleksander Makomaski made a precise shot to the right of Waldemar Sobania. Iron Maiden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Boleslaw Piechna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute of the match Czeslaw Grucza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldemar Sobania skillfully saved the ball. Waldemar Sobania didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aleksander Makomaski went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Iron Maiden's Waldemar Sobania played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksander Makomaski in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Waldemar Czubski made a precise shot to the right of Tolek Sebzda. Buczyna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. If Waldemar Czubski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Sobania made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boleslaw Piechna in the 42nd minute of play. If Waldemar Czubski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tolek Sebzda was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Waldemar Czubski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Waldemar Czubski really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Aleksander Makomaski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Waldemar Sobania tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksander Makomaski got free with Waldemar Sobania in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Buczyna's Czeslaw Grucza shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Waldemar Sobania but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksander Makomaski in the 80th minute of play forced Iron Maiden's goalkeeper Waldemar Sobania to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Waldemar Czubski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Waldemar Sobania made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Cezary Murdza sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute of the match Leszek Brzeszczak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tolek Sebzda skillfully saved the ball.
