The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olgierd Brzeszczak scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Slawomir Panasewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, r e s t a r t's Eugeniusz Rybak got a free kick in the 8th minute. With his leg Marian Dawiec managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Baniów's Honorato Menendez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Baniów booed when r e s t a r t was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslaw Zajonc didn't get a good kick on the ball. r e s t a r t's Marian Dawiec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szczepan Dziurowicz in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute Kryspin Furtok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Dawiec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes r e s t a r t got a freekick which was hit by Nati Morgan. 18 minutes into the match, Baniów's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Brzeszczak came free, but Slawomir Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Kryspin Furtok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Dawiec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes, Nati Morgan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the r e s t a r t and the Baniów players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nati Morgan kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Baniów's zone, Nati Morgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Slawomir Panasewicz came out of the goal and Nati Morgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Wojciech Dudkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes r e s t a r t got a freekick which was hit by Zenon Jandryca. Slawomir Panasewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgierd Brzeszczak in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Baniów's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Brzeszczak came free, but Slawomir Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marian Dawiec was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Honorato Menendez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Honorato Menendez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 44th minute, Kryspin Furtok got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marian Dawiec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szczepan Dziurowicz in the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kryspin Furtok was the one to do the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Kryspin Furtok who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but r e s t a r t's Marian Dawiec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miroslaw Zajonc hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes r e s t a r t got a freekick which was hit by Wojciech Dudkowski. Honorato Menendez struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Marian Dawiec didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baniów. After some careless play in the r e s t a r t defense, Kryspin Furtok kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marian Dawiec. The r e s t a r t fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marian Dawiec should have stopped the shot. After 75 played minutes Baniów got a freekick which was hit by Mariusz Walec. In the 78th minute, Cyprian Barys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludomir Furgal succeeded in the game's 79th minute to get real power on a long shot . Baniów's Slawomir Panasewicz hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-2! Marian Dawiec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Menendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Olgierd Brzeszczak took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Slawomir Panasewicz to make any attempt to save it. Marian Dawiec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kryspin Furtok, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Olgierd Brzeszczak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Slawomir Panasewicz. Olgierd Brzeszczak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4.
