Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Hieronim Soliwoda started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Napoleon Falkiewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomasz Turok's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. When Pawel Paraszczuk fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bayer 04 Leverkusen's protests and gave Pawel Paraszczuk a yellow card for diving instead. Pawel Paraszczuk kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Witomir Rosiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ŁKS ŁÓDŹ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Witomir Rosiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Napoleon Falkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomasz Turok in the 20th minute of play. When Kryspin Tylenda came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the ŁKS ŁÓDŹ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kryspin Tylenda couldn't finish the play. Napoleon Falkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witomir Rosiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. ŁKS ŁÓDŹ's Kryspin Tylenda got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Witomir Rosiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Hieronim Soliwoda dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julian Karbowski, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Witomir Rosiewicz to make the kick off. Ludomil Cytrynski hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Julian Karbowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliks Kiepski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliks Kiepski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Feliks Kiepski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Julian Karbowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ŁKS ŁÓDŹ made a substitution. Korneliusz Grabski replaced Witomir Rosiewicz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korneliusz Grabski in the 73rd minute of play forced Bayer 04 Leverkusen's goalkeeper Napoleon Falkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bayer 04 Leverkusen's Pawel Paraszczuk got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Pawel Paraszczuk off the ground. In the 81st match minute, Bayer 04 Leverkusen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pawel Paraszczuk to maneuver through the defense. ŁKS ŁÓDŹ's Korneliusz Grabski got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Korneliusz Grabski came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the ŁKS ŁÓDŹ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Korneliusz Grabski couldn't finish the play. Kryspin Tylenda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Napoleon Falkiewicz made a huge save. Many of ŁKS ŁÓDŹ's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. ŁKS ŁÓDŹ may have spent more time on the ball, but Bayer 04 Leverkusen were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
