In the 4th match minute, MZKS Arka Gdynia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludomil Dzerwucki to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wincent Jarosiewicz got free with Dominik Czysta in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Herbert Pietras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Espirito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, FC Espirito's goalkeeper Dominik Czysta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milosz Ochabski. After some careless play in the MZKS Arka Gdynia defense, Herbert Pietras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Feliks Zurawski. The MZKS Arka Gdynia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliks Zurawski should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Ruben Ranolfo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliks Zurawski was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Norbert Pryputnicki hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Aldo Falone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dominik Czysta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wincent Jarosiewicz's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, MZKS Arka Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Pietras came free, but Feliks Zurawski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes of play, FC Espirito's Ruben Ranolfo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Feliks Zurawski was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FC Espirito booed when MZKS Arka Gdynia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhuang Fan Lin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Tobiasz Lewicki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliks Zurawski skillfully saved the ball. After the first half FC Espirito were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Milosz Ochabski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Milosz Ochabski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MZKS Arka Gdynia and the FC Espirito players grew even worse after the yellow card.
