But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wlodzimierz Merski couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Remigiusz Czerniejewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wlodzimierz Merski went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 63 minutes into the game, Nörenberg SSA's Wlodzimierz Merski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remigiusz Czerniejewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Remigiusz Czerniejewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michal Chuchro's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcin Frenzel got free with Edmund Pleban in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hohenstein SA's Jacek Sikola got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Michal Chuchro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nörenberg SSA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michal Chuchro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Stanislaw Marud was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played.
