The crowd rose to their feet as Tobiasz Swoboda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boruc Poniewaz. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 22nd minute Teofil Liermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janusz Rakiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to UEFA Real Gliwice getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Tobiasz Swoboda hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Budacz in the 30th minute of play forced Layss's goalkeeper Boruc Poniewaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Lepucki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boruc Poniewaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, UEFA Real Gliwice's Rafal Budacz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boruc Poniewaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, Layss's Damazy Moryl tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafal Budacz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Janusz Rakiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofil Liermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Lepucki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Tobiasz Swoboda a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to UEFA Real Gliwice getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Tobiasz Swoboda hit a great ball. With a little luck, UEFA Real Gliwice's Janusz Rakiewicz got control of the ball when Karol Trojanowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teofil Liermann kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Layss players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for UEFA Real Gliwice.
