In the 3rd minute, -DNR-'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Borys Karanowski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Borys Karanowski got free with Stanislaw Glembin in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonard Bejger struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Radowit Piesciuk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for -DNR-. Opoczka's Radowit Piesciuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Kociniewski in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Opoczka's Witold Glogowski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a rather tough play, -DNR-'s Eugeniusz Mnich got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the game's 31st minute Opoczka's Roman Jaroch took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Stanislaw Glembin and thus the score was 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucjan Wallach during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Opoczka booed when -DNR- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radoslaw Czech didn't get a good kick on the ball. Opoczka's Witold Glogowski got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Kociniewski was the one to do the kick off. Stanislaw Glembin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witold Glogowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Witold Glogowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Stanislaw Glembin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Witold Glogowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Igor Kociniewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radowit Piesciuk was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Borys Karanowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stanislaw Glembin having to make a save. After some careless play in the -DNR- defense, Borys Karanowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanislaw Glembin. The -DNR- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanislaw Glembin should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Igor Kociniewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonard Bejger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes, Piotr Podolski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Opoczka and the -DNR- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Piotr Podolski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Igor Kociniewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Witold Glogowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Glembin having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zygmunt Rekowski during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 96 minutes into the game, one of -DNR-:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Opoczka's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
