In the 9th minute Piotr Podolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Osowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mikolaj Dzerwucki came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Warta Poznań fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikolaj Dzerwucki couldn't finish the play. In the 15th match minute, Warta Poznań was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Fafinski to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Drugi in the 23rd minute of play forced Opoczka's goalkeeper Radowit Piesciuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes Opoczka got a freekick which was hit by Piotr Podolski. In the 27th minute, Mikolaj Dzerwucki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mikolaj Dzerwucki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marek Drugi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radoslaw Jenkot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radowit Piesciuk having to interfere. Mikolaj Dzerwucki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Radowit Piesciuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the game, Dominik Joks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Opoczka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warta Poznań the free kick. Radowit Piesciuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikolaj Dzerwucki, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Witold Glogowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Osowski having to interfere. With a little luck, Warta Poznań's Mikolaj Osowski got control of the ball when Borys Karanowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Witold Glogowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Opoczka's supporters rose to their feet, but Witold Glogowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikolaj Osowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Wawrzyniec Plucinik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warta Poznań's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
