Piotr Mentis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Wit Pstrongowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The KS Nowa Wieś fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when KS Nowa Wieś's Zachariasz Huchro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Piotr Zecman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mieszko Joks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to KS Nowa Wieś getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Zachariasz Huchro hit a great ball. Tolek Turok struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Piotr Zecman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wierwajdy. Piotr Mentis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piotr Mentis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Piotr Mentis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wit Pstrongowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Zachariasz Huchro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Nowa Wieś's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zachariasz Huchro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wierwajdy's Wit Pstrongowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachariasz Huchro in the 26th minute of play. Wojciech Glaza hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Tolek Turok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Piotr Zecman made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Wierwajdy's zone, Herbert Parzysz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wit Pstrongowski came out of the goal and Herbert Parzysz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mieszko Joks to make the kick off. With a little luck, Wierwajdy's Wit Pstrongowski got control of the ball when Piotr Mentis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th play minute Piotr Mentis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wit Pstrongowski. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Zachariasz Huchro managed to get in a good position for a shot. KS Nowa Wieś's supporters rose to their feet, but Zachariasz Huchro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wit Pstrongowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wierwajdy's Wit Pstrongowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachariasz Huchro in the 64th minute of play. After some careless play in the KS Nowa Wieś defense, Tolek Turok kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piotr Zecman. The KS Nowa Wieś fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piotr Zecman should have stopped the shot. Tolek Turok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piotr Zecman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mieszko Joks in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wierwajdy's goalkeeper Wit Pstrongowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of KS Nowa Wieś booed when Wierwajdy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lech Hoffman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piotr Mentis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Wit Pstrongowski made a huge save. In the 83rd match minute, Wierwajdy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcin Olchowy to maneuver through the defense. If Zachariasz Huchro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Zachariasz Huchro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Piotr Mentis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wit Pstrongowski having to interfere.
