When Wawrzyniec Anszczak came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Zagłebak Dąbrowa Górnicza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wawrzyniec Anszczak couldn't finish the play. Teofil Bochinski hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Wtford's goal looked a bit too open when Mieszko Podolski came free, but Kazimierz Czerniejewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Wtford's Tanek Traczewski got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Mateusz Pisarcik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kazimierz Czerniejewski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mateusz Pisarcik kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 48th minute Leon Bronkala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Gongola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leon Bronkala to make the kick off. Mieszko Podolski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Kazimierz Czerniejewski managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Zagłebak Dąbrowa Górnicza's Wawrzyniec Anszczak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kazimierz Czerniejewski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wawrzyniec Anszczak in the 59th minute. Mieszko Podolski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Kazimierz Czerniejewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zenon Gongola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobiasz Skonieczny in the 72nd minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Mieszko Podolski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wtford's Kazimierz Czerniejewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kazimierz Czerniejewski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mateusz Pisarcik. Mikolaj Wolnik hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Tobiasz Skonieczny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Gongola having to interfere. After some careless play in the Zagłebak Dąbrowa Górnicza defense, Tobiasz Skonieczny kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zenon Gongola. The Zagłebak Dąbrowa Górnicza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zenon Gongola should have stopped the shot. Zenon Gongola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobiasz Skonieczny, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Tobiasz Skonieczny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Zenon Gongola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zagłebak Dąbrowa Górnicza players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wtford.
