The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Norbert Zbydniewski hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After 3 played minutes, KS Piast Nowa Ruda's Krzysztof Walczak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zbyszko Orling came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KS Piast Nowa Ruda reached it. After some careless play in the Skaliszki SA defense, Marian Gotfryd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zbyszko Orling. The Skaliszki SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbyszko Orling should have stopped the shot. Marian Gotfryd scored 0-2 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zbyszko Orling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, KS Piast Nowa Ruda's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Zbydniewski came free, but Alfred Byczewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KS Piast Nowa Ruda's Alfred Byczewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Zbydniewski in the 13th minute of play. Lech Gibowski scored 0-3 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zbyszko Orling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lech Gibowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Siekierka hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Marian Gotfryd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lech Gibowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KS Piast Nowa Ruda's Marian Gotfryd got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marian Gotfryd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norbert Zbydniewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Skaliszki SA's zone, Wiktor Zahemski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbyszko Orling came out of the goal and Wiktor Zahemski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lech Gibowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Orling having to interfere. If Lech Gibowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Krzysztof Walczak hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, KS Piast Nowa Ruda's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Zbydniewski came free, but Alfred Byczewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Skaliszki SA's Zbyszko Orling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Skaliszki SA from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Marian Gotfryd kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zbyszko Orling. That made the score 0-5 in the 79 minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Skaliszki SA's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Gotfryd came free, but Zbyszko Orling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marian Gotfryd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Orling having to interfere. After some careless play in the Skaliszki SA defense, Lech Gibowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zbyszko Orling. The Skaliszki SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbyszko Orling should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Skaliszki SA getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Jerzy Gierlach hit a great ball. KS Piast Nowa Ruda played a much better game than Skaliszki SA and deserved their victory. The Skaliszki SA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
