PSV Bytom's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Teofil Waldoch scored to the left of an out of position Cezary Lepper, making the score, 1-0. Teofil Waldoch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cezary Lepper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cezary Lepper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iwo Zawadzki in the 9th minute. Cezary Lepper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofil Waldoch, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The supporters of Rusy booed when PSV Bytom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maciej Kaczanka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Buczko charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Buczko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd match minute, Rusy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Buczko to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Ryszard Walaszkiewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Teofil Waldoch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rusy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofil Waldoch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kacper Dziurowicz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, PSV Bytom's goal looked a bit too open when Teofil Waldoch came free, but Cezary Lepper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Rusy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PSV Bytom the free kick. In the 71st minute Iwan Posadzki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Kajder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleksander Kajder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryszard Walaszkiewicz in the 74th minute. In the 77th match minute, Rusy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zygmunt Bator to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teofil Waldoch in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cezary Lepper saved PSV Bytom from getting behind. Cezary Lepper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teofil Waldoch went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Rusy's Aleksander Kajder got control of the ball when Ryszard Walaszkiewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of PSV Bytom booed when Rusy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Czeslaw Majerowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 91 in the game by Ryszard Walaszkiewicz from a close distance when the talented Aleksander Kajder managed to make a qualified save. Rusy's players were relieved. After some careless play in the PSV Bytom defense, Teofil Waldoch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cezary Lepper. The PSV Bytom fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cezary Lepper should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the PSV Bytom players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rusy.
