Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dawid Dec started the match with the kick off. The supporters of GKS Katowice booed when Płomień Nekla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Starogardzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olgierd Cwojdak charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olgierd Cwojdak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to GKS Katowice getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Olgierd Cwojdak hit a great ball. After 9 played minutes, Płomień Nekla's Juliusz Czeszyk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Betão Pontes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Płomień Nekla reached it. Betão Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dawid Dec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucjan Werra in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karol Czerwinski saved Płomień Nekla from getting behind. GKS Katowice's Cezary Kasiewski got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Borys Piekarczyk during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 19th minute of the match Borys Piekarczyk completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Borys Piekarczyk a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 20 played minutes Płomień Nekla got a freekick which was hit by Borys Piekarczyk. In the 23rd minute, Lucjan Werra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GKS Katowice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, GKS Katowice's Olgierd Cwojdak got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Płomień Nekla's goal looked a bit too open when Cezary Kasiewski came free, but Karol Czerwinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezary Kasiewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karol Czerwinski having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucjan Werra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucjan Werra in the 53rd minute of play forced Płomień Nekla's goalkeeper Karol Czerwinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucjan Werra in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karol Czerwinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tytus Karwowski during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, GKS Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tytus Karwowski to maneuver through the defense. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Płomień Nekla! The goalkeeper, Karol Czerwinski, was totally fooled by GKS Katowice's Dominik Brysz, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Olaf Trac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludomir Zacharek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Karol Czerwinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucjan Werras short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Karol Czerwinski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of GKS Katowice:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Płomień Nekla:s goal. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Płomień Nekla. Juliusz Czeszyk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Betão Pontes. 1-4. GKS Katowice's Lucjan Werra came free and shot a quick shot against goal 90 minutes in the game, fortunately Karol Czerwinski had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Lucjan Werra struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Karol Czerwinski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GKS Katowice. Betão Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Trac in the 99th minute of play. In the 100th minute, Tytus Karwowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Płomień Nekla fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GKS Katowice were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
