One of Burgdorf SSA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Bytom:s goal. In the 47thth minute of the game Slawomir Robak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burgdorf SSA's Zbyszek Cholewa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stefan Dobrowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Bytom's Radomil Bochynski suffered a concussion after 73 minutes and had to leave the field. 73 minutes into the game, Witomir Czempa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burgdorf SSA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bytom the free kick. In the 80th minute, Romulo Gorri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wieslaw Opat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Bronkala, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slawomir Robak in the 84th minute of play forced Burgdorf SSA's goalkeeper Zbyszek Cholewa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
