Jørgen Høydal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eilert Tønnessen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jørgen Høydal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eilert Tønnessen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jørgen Rødseth in the 6th minute of play. Jørgen Høydal took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eilert Tønnessen. Eilert Tønnessen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Finn-Christian Mauseth fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mieronjavre's protests and gave Finn-Christian Mauseth a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Mieronjavre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Fanebust to maneuver through the defense. Staalvikbotn's Jørgen Rødseth got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jørgen Høydal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jørgen Rødseth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eilert Tønnessen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eilert Tønnessen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jørgen Rødseth went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Mieronjavre's zone, Jørgen Rødseth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eilert Tønnessen came out of the goal and Jørgen Rødseth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the game, Finn-Christian Mauseth recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tore Aschim. Finn-Christian Mauseth showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Eilert Tønnessen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jørgen Rødseth, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Stefan Fanebust hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jørgen Høydal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eilert Tønnessen having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Christian Hage had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eilert Tønnessen. Mieronjavre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Hage was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. 46 minutes into the game, Christian Hage cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Eilert Tønnessen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Hage stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jørgen Høydal fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Staalvikbotn's protests and gave Jørgen Høydal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute Nikolai Bech shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tore Aschim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jørgen Høydal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mieronjavre's Eilert Tønnessen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Mieronjavre from getting a goal against them. Eilert Tønnessen came out of the goal and Jørgen Rødseth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Jørgen Rødseth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staalvikbotn's supporters rose to their feet, but Jørgen Rødseth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eilert Tønnessen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mieronjavre's Eilert Tønnessen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Mieronjavre from getting a goal against them. When Jørgen Høydal came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Staalvikbotn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jørgen Høydal couldn't finish the play. Christian Hage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eilert Tønnessen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jørgen Rødseth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staalvikbotn's supporters rose to their feet, but Jørgen Rødseth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eilert Tønnessen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Staalvikbotn's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
