Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bendik Bakka took the kick off in the first half of the match. Austbygd's Stein-Roger Vatland got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Melsbø's goal looked a bit too open when Mikkel Hildre came free, but Øivind Mentzoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raymond Raaen kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Stein-Roger Vatland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Øivind Mentzoni having to interfere. In the 18thth minute of the game Stein-Roger Vatland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Melsbø's Øivind Mentzoni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mikkel Hildre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Øivind Mentzoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Melsbø's Jon Bertelsen got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stein-Roger Vatland in the 25th minute of play forced Melsbø's goalkeeper Øivind Mentzoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stein-Roger Vatland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Øivind Mentzoni having to interfere. Øivind Mentzoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stein-Roger Vatland in the 28th minute of play. Nils-Arne Truong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bendik Bakka, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Bendik Bakka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stein-Roger Vatland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Øivind Mentzoni having to interfere. If Marius Fjeldberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Marius Fjeldberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melsbø's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Fjeldberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Arne Truong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bendik Bakka might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nils-Arne Truong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bendik Bakka ran back to his position shaking his head. Nils-Arne Truong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bendik Bakka, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The goalkeeper, Øivind Mentzoni, was totally fooled by Austbygd's Svend Hellerud, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Stein-Roger Vatland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Øivind Mentzoni having to interfere. Bendik Nesvik hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Melsbø's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tord Caspersen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Austbygd! Austbygd:s Nils-Arne Truong showed great skill when he stopped Josef Aaberg:s penalty. Josef Aaberg scored 1-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils-Arne Truong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Stein-Roger Vatland came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Austbygd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stein-Roger Vatland couldn't finish the play. Øivind Mentzoni was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tord Caspersen. 98 minutes into the match, Marius Fjeldberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils-Arne Truong. Austbygd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marius Fjeldberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
