Christer Karoliussen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jeppe Birkenes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Mæskelven's Thomas Raa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frode Syvertsen in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frode Syvertsen in the 23rd minute of play forced Mæskelven's goalkeeper Thomas Raa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frode Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sigve Meland during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sigve Meland hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Frode Norberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frode Syvertsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Raa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frode Syvertsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Tor-Egil Erland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexander Kirkevold kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Frode Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brage Erga charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brage Erga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, Frode Håpnes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mæskelven's Thomas Raa didn't even have to move. Frode Syvertsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Mæskelven defense, Frode Norberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Raa. The Mæskelven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Raa should have stopped the shot. Vedul's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
