An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Gjelsten in the 3rd minute of play forced Vestbøstad BF's goalkeeper John-Edvin Nydal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rosendal I.l's Frode Sellæg in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alexander Wulff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Christoffer Johannesen fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vestbøstad BF's protests and gave Christoffer Johannesen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rosendal I.l booed when Vestbøstad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoffer Johannesen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Vestbøstad BF's Raymond Østreng threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thorbjørn Høye, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Daniel Gjelsten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Edvin Nydal having to interfere. Frode Sellæg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Edvin Nydal having to interfere. Vestbøstad BF's John-Edvin Nydal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Gjelsten in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Daniel Gjelsten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosendal I.l fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 36th of the match, Thorbjørn Høye tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Raymond Østreng got in the way and made a wonderful save. After a defensive mix-up in Vestbøstad BF's zone, Daniel Gjelsten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Edvin Nydal came out of the goal and Daniel Gjelsten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fredrik Anderssen's late challenge caught a Rosendal I.l's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fredrik Anderssen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Fredrik Anderssen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Vestbøstad BF's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Gjelsten came free, but John-Edvin Nydal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes, Daniel Gjelsten made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Vestbøstad BF's John-Edvin Nydal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Gjelsten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Josef Wangen charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josef Wangen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Rosendal I.l got a freekick which was hit by Josef Wangen. A collision led to Rosendal I.l getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Torvald Ødegården hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, Kristian Langø was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosendal I.l's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vestbøstad BF the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Rosendal I.l was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Langø to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute David Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Østreng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, David Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vestbøstad BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Ek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frode Sellæg had several of the Vestbøstad BF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed John-Edvin Nydal as he didn't even see the shot coming. Frode Sellæg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Edvin Nydal having to interfere. In the 98th match minute, Rosendal I.l was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Gjelsten to maneuver through the defense. The Rosendal I.l players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
