Maiden FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marius Bjerkås was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Gabriel Olafsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andreas Sælen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Frode Rovik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Litlebø's Frode Rovik got control of the ball when Per Hellenes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frode Rovik made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Per Hellenes sent off a good shot on target. Litlebø's Frode Rovik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Litlebø from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Maiden FC booed when Litlebø was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Vallestad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per Hellenes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Frode Rovik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tord Buvarp struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Frode Rovik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maiden FC. After a rather tough play, Litlebø's Carl Buvarp got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Marius Bjerkås received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Iver Vatn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Litlebø was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Buvarp to maneuver through the defense. Joachim Vallestad, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After the first half Litlebø were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Maiden FC's Iver Vatn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Maiden FC from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute, Ole-Gunnar Ernstsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Maiden FC's Andreas Sælen got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute of the match, Marius Bjerkås got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iver Vatn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Joachim Vallestad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frode Rovik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Hellenes in the 81st minute of play. After 82 minutes, Didrik Rise mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Litlebø and the Maiden FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Maiden FC booed when Litlebø was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didrik Rise didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per Hellenes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Frode Rovik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Hans Utne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Per Hellenes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frode Rovik having to interfere. After some careless play in the Litlebø defense, Tord Buvarp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frode Rovik. The Litlebø fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frode Rovik should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marius Bjerkås got free with Iver Vatn in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Litlebø's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
