The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonard Sandum made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Edgard Aanes sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Sponvika's Raymond Jacobsen got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 19th match minute, Sponvika was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilhelm Bergh to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Edgard Aanes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Domination BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Aanes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonard Sandum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Sjåstad kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Thomas Iversen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raymond Jacobsen hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Erling Nergaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sponvika getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Raymond Jacobsen hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thomas Iversen to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Sponvika's Torjus Haavik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bent Lindland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Thomas Iversen struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Bent Lindland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sponvika. 63 minutes into the match, Domination BK's goalkeeper Bent Lindland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torjus Haavik. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Domination BK's goalkeeper Bent Lindland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bent Lindland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torjus Haavik in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lars Grønseth during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Lars Grønseth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 minutes Domination BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Granlund who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Martin Granlund almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Domination BK's Bent Lindland did a great save. 92 minutes into the match, Wilhelm Bergh dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bent Lindland, 1-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sponvika eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
